The 1st Destination: Phuket 6-7 April 2017
After their arrival and warm welcome in Bangkok, the Top 5 finalists of Miss Grand International 2016 embarked to one of Thailand’s top tourism destinations: Phuket.
6 April 2017
The beauties were joined by Miss Grand Phuket 2016 Chalisa Amanda (winner of Miss Grand Rising Star title, Thailand and Miss Grand Phuket 2016) and their journey started with a very wonderful lunch in Phuket traditional style at Tu-Kab-Khao Phuket Local food Restaurant. As being said, you would not reach to Phuket if you haven’t tried its local specialties, or unless you have reached to Tu-Kab-Khao, the Phuket genuine local food restaurant, where all those foreigners or even Thai local visitors come every time whenever they visit Phuket. Tu-Kab-Khao Restaurant is located in the heart of Phuket old town with its unique colonial building that is decorated with the idea of Chino – Portuguese style (Phuket’s truly interiors). Most importantly, the secrets of traditional Phuket recipes that have been passed from generation through generations make the restaurant highly recommended by the diners.
After lunch at Tu-Kab-Khao Restaurant, our 5 beauties continued their visit to Phuket’s popular Old Town where they participated in a photoshoot wearing Baba-Yaya Phuket traditional clothing. They also visited Chino-Portuguese architecture in town, to admire result of the influence of Chinese and European cultures in the island.
In the evening, they went back to stay at Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, the natural choice for holiday resort in Phuket with high quality rooms and facilities, and exotic atmosphere, located beside Patong, a famous tourist attraction in Phuket Island!
7 April 2017
Our 5 beauties started their 2nd day in Phuket, the Pearl of Andaman, with a luxury cruise in the Andaman sea of Phuket by Hype Luxury Boat Club, a beach club on the sea on a big stylish Catamaran featuring comfortable sun lounger day beds and a spacious trampoline. Far from the hustle and bustle of the island, the cruise offered the beauties a breath-taking day on the crystal water of Phuket’s west coast along the Andaman Sea. This is the unique concept of the island in Phuket and all the ingredients are here to provide our 5 MGI beauties with an amazing day.
After the cruise, our beauties went to Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant in Phuket to experience the Thai cuisine cooking class. With a reputation of authenticity and excellence, Blue Elephant stays true to the culinary culture and influences of Thailand. Here, the ladies took the cooking class with Master Chef Nooror Somany-Steppe, the owner of Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant who has travelled the world and used her experiences to take the 5 ladies on a culinary journey, the Thai way. Such a fun and enjoyable moment!
After lunch, our 5 beauties went to relax and retreat at Sukko Cultural Spa, the world’s first Thai cultural day spa with the intention to present the beauty of Thai culture and a tropical paradise rich with cultural heritage and holistic remedies. Here, our 5 beauties experienced physical well-being through the rituals of massage, botanical compresses and steam, and bathing amongst nature with love and respect. All the ladies have found that Sukko is the absolute happiness of life because its treatments and the ethic of its services are an integration of traditional wisdom and modern knowledge.
After full relaxation at Sukko Cultural Spa, the journey just moved on! Our 5 beauties’ next destination was at the world-renowned “Tiger Muay Thai & MMA Training Camp”, the globe’s biggest and most recognized Muay Thai training facility where professional fighters and fitness enthusiasts from across the world travel here to develop their skills and to change their lives.
The training camp has gained a well-deserved reputation as the premier destination for Muay Thai, MMA and fitness training. Our 5 beauties observed and tried to take part in some Thai boxing training classes with Thai boxing experts of the camp and it is another amazing experience for them.
The final destination before getting back to the hotel was “Phuket Fantasea”, The Ultimate Night Time Cultural Theme Park. Phuket Fantasea Show is inspired by Thailand's rich and exotic heritage, and not only showcases the charm and beauty of Thailand, but also enriches ancient Thai traditions with the wonder of cutting-edge technology and special effects. This includes acrobatics, illusions, pyrotechnics, stunts, aerial performances and more.
