Huay Naam Nak village or normally called Baan Huay Naam Nak is located in Tanao Sri district, Suanphueng, Ratchaburi province. The population is roughly estimated at 2,700: 1,000 people are holding Karen nationality and the remaining 1,700 are Thais. However, the majority of people holding Thai nationality inherited from Karen ancestors, but they were born in the kingdom of Thailand, so they can hold Thai nationality. The overall household members mostly still lack the quality of life, in addition, there is no school in this village apart from Huay Naam Nak Child Development Center.
Miss Grand International Organization proposed to visit the area to coordinate with the community and give encouragement. Miss Anea Garcia, Miss Grand International 2015 as a representative of the organization led the activities at Baan Huay Naam Nak Child Development Center. Upon arrival, the overall appearance of the center consists of a one-storey building with four rooms equipped with four computers for child development center and one separate cafeteria building. The center contains 120 children who are under three years.
For the activities on that day, Miss Anea Garcia listened to the stories of refugees and the lives of the children. Moreover, she would love to do activities with the kids all day where she volunteered as an English teacher for children, then, a teacher of art. She taught children to draw and paint.
Obviously,her teaching made the children so happy and laugh together. After they spent time together until almost over lunch time, Miss Anea Garcia volunteered as a facilitator for the kids during their lunch.
